DAF Club Netherlands has, among other things, an active events committee (EVC). The EVC offers an extensive program of events such as tours, night rides, multi-day rides, parts fairs and national and international camping events. For all activities that the events committee offers you, guests are very welcome.

Tours
Tours are held several times a year in various forms and in different places in the country. The tours are driven individually using route descriptions based on different types of systems. Examples of this are bullet-dart, photo routes, written directions, etc. The tours usually vary from 80 to 120 kilometers. Participation in the tours is free. Occasionally a tour is run in the evening; this is also known as a night drive. Driving in the dark gives this tour an extra difficulty.
Multi-day rides
A multi-day ride is usually ridden in 2 days with an overnight stay. The ride can take place in the Netherlands, but can also have an overnight stay abroad. In many cases it is also possible to participate in such a ride for 1 day; the same conditions apply as for a tour. The overnight stay is only possible for members, housemates and donors and costs will be charged for this.
Camping events
A camping event that normally takes place every year is the 4-day Ascension camping weekend. A large number of activities are organized during this camping event. You should think of a barbecue or shared meal, various tours, a night ride, and so on. As a participant you can participate in everything, but you are not obliged to do anything. The same rules apply to the tours during the camping event as described under tours; for all other activities the same applies as for a multi-day ride. In addition to the Ascension Day camping weekend, camping weeks abroad are also organized. The duration of these camping weeks can vary from 1 to 3 weeks.
Meetings
In addition to trips with your DAF / Volvo, the EVC also organizes meetings where contact with other club members and the exchange of knowledge are paramount. During these "Coffee Chats" there is room to talk to each other, but often a small parts market also takes place.
Cooperation with foreign DAF clubs
Some of the activities mentioned above are made possible in collaboration with our sister clubs from Belgium, Germany and England, among others.

Organize something yourself?
If you want to set up a tour yourself or have suggestions for an event, you can always contact the coordinator of the EVC. When organizing an activity yourself, 1 or more committee members will support you, so that your activity will proceed in the same way as an activity organized by the committee.
