Management and GMM

Management

The objective of the DAF Club Netherlands association is (in summary): to keep vehicles driven by a Variomatic transmission running (the DAF passenger cars, the Pony, the Kalmar and the Volvo 66 and 340 automatic transmission). The board, whose members are elected by the general meeting of members (GMM), has the most important task to achieve this goal; not only now but also by setting out the lines for the future of the club. The 9 board members are all members, but also volunteers, because there is a lot involved in managing the club properly. For that reason, the board members have divided the various areas of attention - also in their implementation - (see the caption to the photo of the board opposite).

The board members are eligible for re-election every 2 years according to a fixed schedule. This is to ensure continuity within the board. The election of the board takes place during the General Meeting.

General Assembly of Members (GMM)

DAF Club Netherlands has consciously opted for an association structure. After all, in an association, the members have a say through the GMM. The board organizes an ALV at least once a year. During the GMM, the board, consisting of the executive board and the chairmen of the various committees, renders (financial) accountability for the past year. An important part of the GMM is the election of re-electable or new board members. In addition, the board presents the plans and budget for the coming year. Members can submit proposals to the secretary prior to the ALV. These will then be included in the announcement of the GMM. Such a proposal could, for example, be the adjustment of the internal regulations. During the GMM, the proposals are presented and further substantiated by the submitter. These proposals are put to the vote.

The (Dutch) minutes of the GMM can only be viewed by members who are logged in.

Statutes and internal regulations
