In the period 1959 - 1975, cars are built in the Netherlands under the brand name DAF, the largest Dutch car manufacturer in the history of automobiles. The various models with the unique and characteristic variomatic drive called Variomatic find their way to the public at home and abroad in large numbers. Even after the takeover by Volvo in 1975, the heirs of countless inventions, unique features and technical ingenuity continue to find their way into the Volvos 66, 343 and 340, among others. DAF Club Nederland is committed to keeping these models running with Variomatic.
The models, all equipped with the famous Variomatic, can be divided into the so-called A-body (Daf 600, 750, Daffodil, Daf 33) and the B-body (Daf 44, 46, 55, 66). In addition to the passenger car models released under the DAF brand name, DAF Club Nederland also supports models and classics from other brands with the variomatic drive (Variomatic / CVT), for example the light truck DAF Pony, delivery van Kalmar Tjorven and Volvo's 66. 343, 345 and 340.
